You can find detailed information on all programmes offered at HSD at: www.hs-duesseldorf.de/studyprogrammes In order to apply successfully at HSD, you need to fulfil the following requirements: 1. Your secondary school or university diploma needs to qualify you for studying in Germany. You can check this at: https://www.daad.de/deutschland/nach-deutschland/voraussetzungen/en/6017-admission-requirements/ > Database on admission requirements If your country is not listed at DAAD, please check www.anabin.kmk.org (Choose "Schulabschlüsse mit Hochschulzugang", your country and then the diploma you have obtained and read under what conditions it enables you to study. As you have studied at a university before, you also need to check whether or not your university is accredited. To check that, choose "Institutionen", your country and university. There you can see the university's "Status". If it says "H+" your university is accredited. ) 2. All international students have to give proof of their German language knowledge (except for MSc Mechanical Engineering). The German language certificate does not need to be handed in with your application, but with your enrolment papers. Latest date to present the certificate is March 31 for summer semester intake and Sept. 30 for winter semester intake. Which language certificates are accepted can be checked at: www.hs-duesseldorf.de/requirements > German language requirements 3. Depending on the specific programme you want to apply for, you might also need to hand in an internship proof, English language certificate, entrance test or a minimum grade. Further information on our websites (first link above). Our international applicants (no German citizenship, no German school/university certificates) in most cases, have to send their application documents to uni-assist. You can find detailed information about the application process for international students at: www.hs-duesseldorf.de/application Please read this information carefully. Applications for admission restricted bachelor study programmes (NC), will need to take some additional application steps via the so called DoSV! Further information at: www.hs-duesseldorf.de/application > DoSV. (Does not apply for applicants with a citizenship from outside of the EU) Application periods: Restricted admission study programmes: Mid-May - July 15 for winter semester intake and Mid-November - January 15 for summer semester intake. Unrestricted admission study programmes: Mid-May - August 15 for winter semester intake and Mid-November - February 15 for summer semester intake. Please note: International credit points (CP) cannot always be transferred 1:1 into the German CP system. In case the transfer of your bachelor CP amounts to less than 210 overall German CP, your admission to a master study programme at HSD might be attached to a condition. In that case, you would have to make up the missing amount of CP (usually 30CP), in order to complete the master study programme. The duration of the study programme would prolongate accordingly. A precise evaluation and calculation of your bachelor credit points will be done, once you hand in your official application. Please do not hesitate to contact me again in case you have further questions, Kind regards, p.p.
