Thanks! ___________ Thank you for your interest in graduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Here is how you can apply to a graduate program at our university: First, you need to access the drop-down menu under Graduate Programs: http://grad.usask.ca/programs/find-a-program.php to find the contact information and website links for the academic unit or units which interest you most. Second, contact the specific department in which you are interested for more details: areas of research, available supervisors, deadlines, funding and so on. The decision to admit a student is initiated by the individual academic unit committee and submitted for approval to the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Minimum admission requirements for entry into a graduate program can be found on each program page. Please note: some academic units require an applicant to submit a pre-qualification form in advance of a formal application being submitted. These forms are considered and reviewed exclusively by the academic unit to which it has been submitted. The College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies can provided no information on the status of these. Third, review the steps to apply online at: http://grad.usask.ca/admissions/how-to-apply.php. Once you have submitted your application for admission and paid the application fee, you will be required to upload PDF copies of all of academic transcript(s) and all available degree certificates from all post-secondary institutions you have attended. The transcript requirement will appear as Preliminary Statement of Marks or Additional Prelim. Statement under admission requirements on your Application Summary when you check your application status. Degree Certificates will appear as Undergraduate Degree Preliminary or Master's Degree Preliminary under admission requirements on your Application Summary. Do not send official documents in advance of being requested by the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Official documents, mailed directly from the issuing institution to the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, will be required to permit registration only where admission is offered. The email address for the academic unit to which you have applied will be provided to you shortly after the application has been submitted. Please use that information for communicating about application status or requirements. Information on the admission process, checking an application's status, and uploading documents can be reviewed here: http://grad.usask.ca/admissions/after-youve-applied.php. The academic unit or an International Credential Evaluation officer, on behalf of the academic unit, will determine whether an equivalency meeting the minimum for admission has been met. This average is customarily determined using the last two years of one's undergraduate program for international transcripts (Master's level admission) or the entirety of the Master's program (Ph.D. admission). For domestic Master's admissions, the equivalency is customarily determined using the last 60 credit units of an individual's undergraduate program. Original proof of English language proficiency (approved test results or proof of higher education completed in an English-speaking country or institution) must also be provided in support of an application, where appropriate. Please note, the decision to accept a degree with a minimum three consecutive years of post-secondary education to satisfy the English language proficiency admission criteria will be at the discretion of the academic unit to which you will apply. Questions about whether the unit to which you have applied will accept this form language proficiency must be directed to the academic unit. Reference request links will be issued to an applicant's referees as identified in the application. These individuals will be sent a unique link which will be used to submit the reference. This may take one to three days. Requests to change or re-issue reference request links must be directed to the academic unit to which one has applied. Other requirements specific to a program will be listed on the academic department's website. Current tuition information can be found here: http://students.usask.ca/money/tuition-fees/graduate-tuition.php.
