Respectfully, Providers and Staff Receptionist – Telephone# 1-251-633-8880 ext 224 Fax# 1-251-634-4513 On July 13, 2018 the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (the Commission) issued Bulletin 2018-010 reminding all licenses, patients, and providers of the mandatory reporting requirements related to any serious adverse event. This bulletin contained instructions for complaints to be submitted to the Commission at reporting.mmcc@maryland.gov. The bulletin may be viewed on the MMCC website here. The Commission is aware that a licensed dispensary issued a notification on July 22, 2018 recommending qualifying patients who experience an adverse event to processed products report the adverse event to that dispensary. The reporting procedure and contact information for the Commission included in that dispensary communication is not accurate. Any adverse event should be reported to the Commission, the qualifying patient's certifying provider, and the dispensary where the medical cannabis product was purchased. Reports of adverse events may be submitted to the Commission at reporting.mmcc@maryland.gov. Regardless of the source or composition of the cannabis product, patients should report any adverse event to their certifying provider, the Commission, and the dispensary that sold the product. While dispensaries across Maryland may receive the same medical cannabis product from a grower or processor, the batch and lot numbers vary across dispensaries. The dispensary where the product was purchased is the best point of contact for discussing a reaction to a specific batch or lot of a product. The Commission would also like to remind patients that all cannabis products available for sale in Maryland dispensaries have passed the compliance testing required by the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR 10.62.15.04, 10.62.23.03). The certificate of analysis and test results for every batch and lot for each product sold is available at the dispensary (COMAR 10.62.15.05, 10.62.23.04). Please feel free to ask for a copy of the Certificate of Analysis for any medical cannabis product from the dispensary at the time of purchase. Sincerely,
