Dear NYFACS Family, This week, we had a special workshop for our teachers. The focus was on effective Lesson Planning and teaching to the Department of Education Standards. We also administered a Benchmark exam in order to ascertain the students' level of progress. That data will be utilized to develop individualized plans for each child. Students will be grouped according to their area of deficiencies, and the chart will be updated based on their rate of progress. The individual Data Chart will also be utilized for our Saturday Test Preparation Program. These academic strategies will certainly lead to a significant growth in our State Test Results. We have re-structured our After School program in order to expose our students to a variety of artistic program. I am very pleased with the level of parental involvement. More than seventy percent of the parents were in attendance on November 4th for the parent-teacher conferences. Aussi, nous avons créé un programme d'évaluation afin de vérifier le progrès des élèves. Ces données, une fois réunies en tableaux de données, seront utilisées pour développer un plan individualisé pour chaque élève. Par la suite, les élèves seront regroupés par niveau de difficultés. Ces données individuelles serviront également à notre programme de préparation des tests d`Etat, programme prévu le samedi matin. Nous ne doutons point que toutes ces stratégies mises en place auront un caractère bénéfique sur la progression de nos résultats aux tests d'Etat. Par ailleurs, je suis très satisfait de l'implication des parents au sein de l'école. En effet, plus de soixante-dix pour cent des parents ont répondu présents le 4 Novembre dernier lors de la réunion parents-enseignants.
